As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, fundraising is a vital component of our programs' - and thus our athletes' - success. Our registration fees typically cover insurance, field expenses, referees, EMTs and medic bags, concessions inventory, football equipment and helmet recertification, cheer choregraphy and music, and end-of-year gifts and celebrations...just to name a few.
In order to purchase additional, necessary items, it is imperative that we fundraise occasionally throughout the year to offset our out-of-pocket costs without having to raise registration too much.
Our Board has identified 3 main fundraising goals for the 2022 season:
- New pom-poms for our cheerleaders - approx. 80 poms for ~$3,600 ($45/set) - PURCHASED
- New practice uniforms for our football team - approx. 100 jerseys for ~$1,500 - TOYOTA SPONSORSHIP
- New replacements pads for our football blocking sled - 4 pads for ~$2,000
We would also like to offset the cost of tower light rentals, if we're able. Now that our season extends into November, we need to rent 3 tower lights for approx. 3 months in order to adequately light up the football practice fields at Hyde Elementary School as it gets darker earlier. This cost is roughly $6,000.
We have formed a Fundraising Committee comprised of Board members and other parents to plan and execute several fundraising activities over the next few months. Ideas currently include:
February: Angelia's Pizza kits for Super Bowl Sunday - RAISED $2,000
April 30: Night of the Races *SIGNATURE EVENT!* - RAISED $12,000
July 16: Globe Car Wash
