CPYSL U11 Premier Division - Match Day #6

FC York battled the other undefeated leader in the U11 CPYSL Premier Division hoping to get back to their winning ways. The opponent, however, showed up playing the way which has got them to the top of the division this fall; and they found the net three times to reach half-time with a 3-0 lead. Our team came close to scoring on several occasions in the first half as well; but it was not until later in the second half that Parker collected a ball from his teammate who had been tripped inside the box, and scored on the advantage play. Another trip later on at the edge of the midfield circle the set up the second goal, as Drew found the net with a direct free kick which bounced off the ground past the reach of the goalie. In between, however, the visitors had also scored their 4th goal which made it too difficult for FC York catch up before the final whistle was blown. Our boys will now finish the season playing the last two games away, but they can level back their standing in the division if they find a way to win again.
